AUTHORS GUIDELINE

General information

The submission must consist of a cover letter, an original manuscript, and supporting documents (if any). The cover letter is addressed to Editor of JIP mentioning that the manuscript has not been previously published, the highlight of your research significant. The format of final version of article is as JIP format.

Manuscript Structure

1.  Original Reasearch Articles

Original articles should not exceed 7000 words inclusive of all parts of the paper apart from online Supporting Information. All of the manuscripts can be written either in bahasa Indonesia or English using MS Word Cambria 10 pt font, 1 space between line, A4 paper size (210 x 297 cm) with margins at right, left, top and bottom 30 mm. Every page must be given the page number.

Manuscript sorted by :

Title

The title is written in simple and clear, not more than 15 words in bahasa Indonesia, or 12 words in English. Name of the authors and institution must be written in clear without degree, 12 pt. Name of the main author is placed in first order. Please mark the name of author who is responsible for corresponding the contents of paper (corresponding author) with (*) mark. The name of main author and corresponding author not must be same. Name of the institution of each author is written below the names, complete with department/ majority/ expertise, the name and address of the institution with city name, zip code, and email of the corresponding author must be written with the (*) mark.

Abstract

Abstract is written in both bahasa Indonesia and english, each in 150-200 words. Abstract is summary of the paper in form of one paragraph which explain the purpose, scope, method of research, invention, and conclusion. Give 3-5 keyword below it.

Body of Paper

The body of paper consists of introduction, method of research, result and discussion, and conclusion. The total pages of the paper body is 5 - 10 pages (including tables and images).

Procedures to cite references:

If the number of authors of the reference just one name, please write the last name of the author and year of publish, expample :

  • (Smith, 2001) or “… as explaind by Smith(2001).”

If the number of authors of the reference consists of two names, please write the last name of each authors and year of publish, example :

  • (Smith and Othmer, 1995) or “according to method that explained by Smith and Othmer (1995) …”

If the number of authors of the reference consists more than two names, please write the last name of the main author following with dkk. (paper in bahasa Indonesia) or et al. (paper in english) and year of publish, example :

  • (Smith et al., 2002) atau "Smith et al. (2002) reported that.....”

If the first author writes two or more different references in same year, give alphabet a, b, etc. after year of publish, example :

  • (Haryono, 2006a; 2006b; Fan, 2004)

Acknowledgement

In this part, authors can give expression of thanks to someone or institution or university etc. about supporting of the research

References

References are arranged in the terms of alphabet of the last name of the main author. All authors names in references must be written completely and can’t be replaced with dkk. or et al. Example :

References from wikipedia or other source/website that still can’t be guaranteed the validation of data, author, and person in charge, can’t be included as references.

Tables

Tables include the number and the title of the tables. Please prepare the tables in MS word or Excel in order to we can edit it in editing process

Figures

Figures include the number and the title of the figures. The papers will be printed in grayscale mode by JIP. Give images in format that can be edited, and clear both in color and tone. Images should can be resized easily with good quality, example in JPG format

List of Notation

Please give list of notations and symbols (if any).


2. REVIEWS.

Reviews should not exceed 8000 words inclusive of all parts of the paper. The layout should follow the same format and specifications as for Standard Papers except that the organisation of the main text need not follow the division into Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and Discussion.


3. Short Communication ARTICLES.

Communication articles should be short contributions up to 4000 words inclusive of all parts of the paper. Format and specifications are as for Standard Papers except that any Summary section should be short (no more than 150 words) and the layout of the main text can be flexible.

 

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  7. Bibliography and citations are conducted by using application reference such as mendeley, zotero, etc.
