PENGARUH PENJURUSAN DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PENGINDERAAN JAUH MAHASISWA DI PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN GEOGRAFI UMS

Abstract


Geography science which have interdisciplinary approach cause the student from natural science and social science in Senior High School can apply to geography education department in the university. The researcher has hypothesis that the differences in character and scope of science in senior high school can affect the result of student understanding in remote sensing and photogrammetry subject at higher education. This research was a quantitative non experiment research by population of 210 student consist of 44 student from natural science and 166 student from social science. All the population was included to this research. Independent t test and mann whitney statistic was used in this research to analyze the data. The independent variable that used in the research was the student specialization in senior high school and the dependent variable was mid and final semester exam result. The statistic result showed that there was significant difference between exam result student from natural and social science. That result showed that specialization in senior high school affect the student’s exam result in the subject of remote sensing and photogrammetry at the university. The average exam result showed the student from natural science had higher result than student from social science.
