PERAN TENAGA PENDIDIK DALAM MEMBERIKAN PEMBELAJARAN YANG BERMAKNA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN ETNOMATEMATIKA

Abstract


To answer the challenges of the industrial revolution era 4.0 an educator is required to provide meaningful
learning for students. The rapid development of technology and information requires teachers to always
innovate. Innovation is done in order to provide renewal in learning, especially in mathematics learning.
Providing meaningful mathematics learning for students can provide an impressive learning experience. By
using the Ethnomatematics approach, it is expected that mathematics learning which was originally considered
difficult becomes easy and very close to everyday life. This study discusses how the role of educators in
providing meaningful learning using the Ethnomatematics approach. The method used is Literature Study,
which is looking for references that are relevant to the problems found. Based on several literary sources, the
Ethnomatematics approach can provide knowledge to students regarding local culture and the culture is very
close to the student environment. Learners can learn culture through information technology which is then
raised in a mathematics learning
