ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN RME UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI

Abstract


Mathematics is a compulsory lesson for primary education students, secondary education to tertiary education. Communication ability is one of the abilities needed in 2013 curriculum learning and capabilities in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Mathematics is also one of the lessons to develop communication skills. Students who have low communication skills can raise difficulties in solving problems. This study discusses to increase the need for learning media by using Realistisc. Mathematics Education to improve communication skills in students. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were teachers and students of the Muhammadiyah Pakem Middle School class. The object of the study was learning media with the approval of Realistisc Mathematics Education and communication skills. The instruments used are interviews, observations and polls. The results showed that the learning media used was still lacking. Learning Media has not yet learned Realistisc Mathematics Education. Learners and teachers need learning media by using Realistisc Mathematics Education to improve students' communication skills. Therefore, it is necessary to develop learning media with Realistisc Mathematics Education to improve communication skills.
