SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW (SLR) EARLY CHILDHOOD SCHOOL READINESS TO ENTER PRIMARY SCHOOL EDUCATION

Abstract


Children's school readiness is the basic ability that children must have to face school life. These abilities include cognitive development, physical-motor development, and social development. In Indonesia, early childhood readiness to start formal education in primary school is an important concern for educators and parents, given the long-term impact on children's learning achievement and social development. This study aims to conduct a literature review related to early childhood school readiness. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This research aims to explain the basic concepts of early childhood school readiness to enter primary school education comprehensively with the facts that exist in previous studies in the field. The stages of this research were carried out to determine the keywords that would be used in this research, namely School Readiness and Early Childhood. This study used 6 journal articles with 4 Sinta indexed journals, 1 Garuda indexed journal article, and 1 Aceh Manuscript indexed journal article. Based on the literature review, the following facts were obtained: early childhood readiness to enter primary school has an important role in preparing them for formal education.
