Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menanya Siswa Melalui Literasi Informasi Pada Mata Pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menanya siswa melalui penggunaan literasi informasi pada mata pelajaran IPS. Kegiatan pembelajaran tahap pra siklus membuktikan bahwa kualitas menanya siswa masih rendah. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah pada pra siklus 1 maka dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I diperoleh data kemampuan menanya siswa tingkat tinggi 40%, tingkat sedang 40%, dan tingkat rendah 20%. Keaktifan siswa dalam mengembangkan pertanyaan, berdiskusi, dan melakukan refleksi masih rendah. Keaktifan siswa dalam berinteraksi dengan sumber belajar dan melakukan inkuiri dengan tingkat sedang. Hasil penelitian siklus II diperoleh data kemampuan menanya siswa, tingkat tinggi 56%, tingkat sedang 38% dan tingkat rendah 6%. Keaktifan siswa dalam berinteraksi dengan sumber belajar, melakukan inkuiri dan refleksi dalam kategori sedang, untuk kemampuan siswa dalam mengembangkan pertanyaan dan berdiskusi tingkat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka disimpulkan penggunaan literasi infomasi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menanya siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMPN 1 Cikande.

Abstract
Efforts to Increase Student Requirement through Information Literacy in IPS Subject. This research is to know the improvement of students' questioning ability through the use of information literacy on social studies subjects. Pre-cycle learning activities prove that the quality of student inquires is still low. Based on the background of the problem on pre cycle 1 then done classroom action research. The results of the research in the first cycle of data obtained the ability to ask high-level students 40%, moderate 40%, and low level 20%. Students' activeness in developing questions, discussions, and reflections is still low. Activity of students in interacting with learning resources and do inquiri with medium level. The results of the second cycle of research obtained data students' ability to ask, high level 56%, moderate 38% and low level 6%. Activity of students in interacting with learning resources, inquiry and reflection in the medium category, for students' ability to develop questions and discuss high-level. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the use of information literacy can improve students' ability to question students in IPS subjects in SMPN 1 Cikande.
