Reviewing The Emotional Development of Early Childhood at Tiara Cibeber Cilegon Day Care Throug Permisive Parenting for Working Mothers
Abstract
Of early childhood children among several students at PAUD TPA Tiara. Some of these students still require extra guidance and practice in their emotional development, which often hinders the learning process at PAUD TPA Tiara. This study aims to review the emotional development of children with working mothers through permissive parenting. It employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects and informants were selected from 3 working mothers and 3 students whose mothers are employed. The subjects were chosen based on their characteristics relevant to the research objectives, and the researcher also involved additional informants, namely the teachers of the students in question. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the parenting pattern of working mothers whose children are enrolled at PAUD TPA Tiara employs a permissive style of parenting. The parenting practices by working mothers, due to their busy office schedules, lead to issues such as lack of discipline, disregard for rules, and children often having their desires met without limits. Children frequently react physically when their toys are taken by peers, and during learning activities, they often do not complete tasks thoroughly and become quickly discouraged.
