Menari Sebagai Media Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)

Abstract


Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi mendalam tentang manfaat dan pentingnya pemberian Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) kepada peserta didik melalui pembelajaran Tari. Diharapkan dengan mengetahui lebih dalam informasi ini, akan bermanfaat dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan prestasi siswa. Karenanya metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kualitatif dengan survey langsung dan studi literatur. Dari studi ini didapatkan hasil bahwa pemberian DMT melalui tari dapat membantu dalam (1) peningkatan integrasi kognisi, afeksi, dan pengalaman fisik; (2) ekspresi kompetensi; (3) meningkatkan kesadaran diri; (4) sebagai bentuk coping dalam upaya mengatasi masalah tekanan/ stress, mood, emosi; (5) membantu dalam meningkatkan self-eficacy (6) merupakan bentuk dukungan social. Selain itu didapatkan hasil studi literatur tentang panduan dalam pemberian DMT. DMT Hasil tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai dasar kuat akan pentingnya pemberian terapi DMT melalui pembelajaran tari di sekolah kepada para siswa guna membantu dalam proses peningkatan hasil proses pembelajaran disekolah.
