Abstract


ABSTRACT

Optical fiber or commonly called Fiber Optic is one of the telecommunications media. The utilizing the speed of light, FO is a transmission that has a high speed. PT. Jembo Cable Company Tbk is a company that produces FO cable. In the process of manufacturing FO coatings need to be considered. Temperature control using Primus TMP-95-PAB has a fairly stable level of stability with temperature changes of only ± 1°C from the set value. While the control with RKC CH402 is slightly unstable with temperature changes reaching ±2°C from the set value. To solve the problem with the RKC CH402, modifications were made to the hardware so that the level of temperature stability increased so that the temperature difference with the set value became 0°C.

ABSTRAK

Serat optik atau yang biasa disebut Fiber Optic adalah salah satu media telekomunikasi. Pemanfaatan kecepatan cahaya, FO merupakan transmisi yang memiliki kecepatan yang tinggi. PT. Jembo Cable Company Tbk merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi kabel FO. Dalam proses manufakturing FO coating perlu diperhatikan. Pengontrolan suhu menggunakan Primus TMP-95-PAB memiliki tingkat kestabilan yang cukup stabil dengan perubahan suhu hanya ± 1°C dari set value. Sedangkan pengontrolan dengan RKC CH402 sedikit tidak stabil dengan perubahan suhu mencapai ±2°C dari set value. Untuk menyelesaikan masalah pada RKC CH402 maka dilakukan modifikasi pada hardware sehingga tingkat kestabilan suhu meningkat sehingga perbedaan suhu dengan set value menjadi 0°C.
