PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING (CPS) PADA SISWA KELAS VIII A SMPN 4 KRAGILAN
Abstract
This study aims to determine the extent of improvement of problem solving of students in the material of Two Variable Linear Equations (PLDV) through the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model in class VIII Junior High School 4 Kragilan. The object of the study consisted of 29 students, and was carried out by partnering or collaborating with other teacher colleagues as observers. Data collected quantitative data by processing simple statistical data and qualitative data using observation and documentation instruments. This Classroom Action Research uses the John Elliot Model where the implementation is carried out through two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. The results obtained from this study indicate that the use of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model that can improve from the first cycle shows that only 14 students or 49% of students achieved a score of 50-100 and the average in problem solving for one class 59, 13% while in the second cycle there was an increase in students' problem solving abilities, namely 74.14% and there were 25 or 86% of students who achieved grades 50-100. This is based on the acquisition of learning outcomes during the study.
