PENINGKATAN WAWASAN ANAK USIA DINI MELALUI STRATEGI BELAJAR OUTING CLASS DI KB SKB KOTA SERANG
Abstract

Abstract: Early childhood education emphasizes foundational learning, teaching students how to face the future. It also involves learning important real-world matters, such as various types of natural disasters and how to protect oneself during such events. Therefore, teachers need to select appropriate teaching methods, such as the outing class method. This outing class activity allows children to gain new experiences and knowledge and learn to interact directly with their environment and nature (Maryanti, S. et al., 2019). This teaching strategy facilitates teachers in conducting classroom activities as they plan and develop their teaching strategies in advance. Consequently, students gain new experiences and broaden their knowledge. Additionally, this teaching strategy is related to the contextual learning model, also known as Teaching and Learning (CTL), which emphasizes the process of full student engagement to discover the material being studied and relate it to real-life situations, encouraging students to apply it in their lives. KB SKB Kota Serang has implemented this method by organizing an outing class to the BPBD of Banten Province.
