PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM PENDIDIKAN ANAK: STUDI KASUS PADA KELUARGA DENGAN KEDUA ORANG TUA BEKERJA

Abstract


This research investigates the parental role in children's education within families where both parents work full-time. A case study approach was employed, examining three families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to explore how parents manage time constraints and overcome challenges in supporting their children's education. Research methods included participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Key findings reveal that despite facing challenges such as time constraints and work-related stress, both parents remain actively involved in their children's educational lives, addressing both academic and character development aspects. Effective strategies such as efficient time management, the use of educational technology, and equitable division of household responsibilities enable them to maintain significant involvement in supporting their children's education. The implications of this study highlight the need for policy and practice support that promotes workplace flexibility, develops support programs for child education, and advocates for equitable division of household tasks to enhance educational outcomes for children in dual-career families.
