Implementasi Model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) pada materi Relativitas untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi Sains Siswa SMA

This study is motivated by the fact that high school students have low science literacy and minimal understanding of the concept of relativity. This study used a quasi-experimental method with an unequal control group design and looked at how the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model impacted on improving the science literacy of high school students. The study involved 30 students from class XII F4 as the experimental group and 30 students from class XII F3 as the control group, who were purposively selected. The Mann-Whitney test results showed an Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 (<0.05), which indicates that the TGT model has a significant effect on improving science literacy. In addition, the N-Gain value of the experimental class was 0.41, which is a medium value, much higher than the 0.13 value of the control class, which is a low value. These findings indicate that the TGT model is effective in improving students' ability to read and understand science.
