Abstract

The rainfall patterns in Indonesia are generally dominated by monsoon  characterized by differences between seasons rain and dry season (Pabalik et al. 2015). Indonesia between of Asian and Australian Monsoon. Tangerang district is a located in Banten provinces which have a fairly high rainfall annually. It can be seen every year the average rainfall in Tangerang disttrict above 100 mm/year (BPS Banten Province, 2015). The rainfall of distribution in Tangerang district can be detected using the Thiessen Polygon method. The Thiessen Polygon method takes into account the weight of each station that represents the area around it. This study aims to determine the calculation and rainfall pattern of the area in Tangerang district by using Thiessen Polygon method. This research was conducted in two stages, data collection a monthly rainfall and data processing with ArcGIS. Based on the results of calculations on rainfall data for the period 2008-2017 and June-July 2018 in 3 rain posts, the results of the Smirnov-Kolmogorof test with P-value > 0.005 or distribution normal and the Smirnov-Kolmogorof value of 0.055 for the rain post rain 1, 0.081 for the post rain 2 and 0.167 for rain post 3. While the results of multiple linear equations show no symptoms of heteroscedasticity. Therefore, from this data can be generated maps of rainfall distribution in Tangerang district.
