Studi Komparasi Miskonsepsi Dengan Metode Diskusi Menggunakan Media Lembar Diskusi Siswa dan Media Teka-Teki Silang Pada Materi Optik

Abstract

This study aims to compare the use of media in Student Discussion Sheets (LDS) and Crossword Puzzle (TTS) to overcome misconceptions in the optical topic  in SMAN 10 Jakarta using the discussion method. The study was conducted at SMAN 10 Jakarta in class XI MIPA 1 by applying LDS and XI MIPA 2 media by applying TTS media, each method followed by 32 students as the sample. Data retrieval was done by three-tier diagnostic test. The results of the average decline in students' misconceptions using LDS media were 21% while the average decrease in students' misconceptions using  TTS media were 25%. The conclusion of this study is the use of TTS media is more effective in overcoming student misconception compared to LDS media on optic topics using discussion methods in class XI MIPA of SMAN 10 Jakarta in the academic year 2018/2019.
