Abstract

The research aims to simulate the electric force of the interaction of three-point charges using Microsoft Excel to determine the 3rd charge position, which does not experience an electric force (the electric force is equal to zero). The research method used is to simulate a 3-point charge graph of the electric force for various electric charge composition models, then determine the position where the electric force is zero. The results show that for two similar charges (positive and positive) or (negative and negative), the 3rd charge position so that the electric force is zero is located between the two charges and is closer to the charge with a smaller value. Meanwhile, for two different charges, the 3rd charge position so that the electric force is zero is located outside the two charges and near the charge, which has a smaller value. This shows that Microsoft Excel can simulate 3 point charges' electric force to determine the 3rd charge position whose electric force is zero.
