Abstract

This study aims to produce a contextual-based animated video learning media on the dynamic concept of motion in high school physics. The research method used is research and development (R&D), while the development design uses the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The subjects in the study were students in grade 11 of Senior High School (SMA). The data collection instruments consisted of material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The developed learning media's feasibility obtained media validation test results with an average value of 98.6% with the very feasible category, the material validation test results with an average cost of 92% with the very doable type. The student response test results for senior high school students (SMA) class XI by obtaining an average score of 95.4% in the excellent category. Based on the research and discussion results, it can be concluded that the contextual-based animated video learning media is very suitable for use in learning physics.

Keywords: dynamic, contextual, video animation.
