ESTIMASI ASUPAN TOTAL FLAVONOID PADA MAHASISWA KESEHATAN DAN NON-KESEHATAN DI KARAWANG

Abstract


Flavonoid merupaka komponen fitokimia yang memiliki efek protefktif untuk kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan asupan total flavonoid mahasiswa kesehatan dan non-kesehatan di Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan 60 subjek dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Asupan flavonoid dinilai menggunakan food recall 24-H. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata±SD asupan total flavonoid subjek penelitian sebesar 171.9±115.7 mg/hari. Selain itu, hasil uji bivariat menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan asupan total flavonoid antara mahasiswa kesehatan dan non-kesehatan (p-value>0,05). Tetapi terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan asupan subkelas flavonoid antara mahasiswa kesehatan dan non-kesehatan, yaitu flavan-3-ol (p-value=0,004), flavanon (p-value=0,000), flavonol (p-value=0,045) dan isoflavon (p-value=0,012). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa asupan total flavonoid tidak berbeda berdasarkan kategori mahasiswa.
