Kompetensi guru pendidikan vokasional dalam menghadapi tantangan di abad 21

Abstract


Pendidikan merupakan suatu yang fundamental untuk keberlangsungan hidup manusia, hal ini yang menjadi latar belakang bahwa pendidikan memerlukan tenaga pendidik yang berkompeten di bidangnya bahkan perlu memiliki kompetensi yang fleksibel dan mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan zaman. Saat ini zaman telah memasuki abad 21 (21 st century), yang dimana teknologi informasi, iptek, berkembang begitu pesat dalam kemajuan dan perkembangannya sehingga mendorong tenaga pendidik untuk melek teknologi dan mampu menguasai kompetensi agar lulusan pendidikan vokasi mampu menghadapi era abad 21. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah membahas persiapan guru dalam meningkatakan kompetensinya dalam menghadapi  pembelajaran abad 21. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu studi literatur yang mana mengumpulkan beberapa jurnal tentang kompetensi guru pendidikan vokasi untuk diteliti dan ditemukan hasil dari permasalahan yang dihadapi pada saat ini, metode ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dalam penyusunan artikel. Untuk hasil yang didapat menyatakan bahwasannya kompetensi yang saat ini dimiliki oleh guru dirasa kurang dalam tantangannya menghadapi era abad 21 sehingga perlunya peningkatan skill dan kompetensinya yang berorientasi pada perkembangan zaman yang konsisten mengarah ke depan.
