The Effect of Videos from tiktok toward Student’s Writing Skills in Procedure Text at SMAN 1 Sukaresmi

Abstract


The goal of this research is to obtain empirical data about the influence of TikTok application toward students' writing skills at SMAN 1 Sukaresmi. To achieve that goal, this research used a quasi-experimental design involving tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukaresmi. The population used was 252 students. The sample consists of 36 students from experimental class and 36 students control class which are selected using purposively sampling. The results of the post-test revealed that the experimental class was a significantly higher score than the control class. In addition, the results of the Independent Sample T-Test revealed that the sig-2 tailed value was 0.00, while the alpha (a) was 0.05 which was 0.00<0.05. It means that Ha is Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Therefore, it was proven that there is a significance influence of TikTok application toward students' writing skills in procedure text material at tenth grade of SMAN 1 Sukaresmi in the academic year 2022/2023. Thus, the use of Tiktok application as a learning medium is suggested toward students' writing skills in procedure text material
