Rendahnya publikasi ilmiah peneliti jurusan teknik metalurgi di jurnal ilmiah bereputasi internasional menjadi penghalang bagi kemajuan teknik metalurgi. The low number of metallurgical engineering scientific publications in reputable scientific journals is a barrier to progress. Referring to the Circular Letter (SE) from the Directorate General (Dirjen) of Higher Education (Dikti) Number 152/E/T/2012 dated January 27, 2012, concerning the Publication of Scientific Work. The Circular stipulates that a student must produce a paper published in a scientific journal to pass the Bachelor's program. This obligation is accepted as a challenge and opportunity to publish scientific journals. The journal "Furnace" publication aims to develop, accumulate and disseminate research results for academics and practitioners in metallurgical engineering as a scientific reference.
