PERLAKUAN PANAS PADUAN ALUMINIUM BERBUTIR HALUS ULTRAFINE GRAINED HASIL TEKNOLOGI SEVERE PLASTIC DEFORMATION

Abstract


Teknologi baru proses manufaktur dengan deformasi plastik berat, severe plastic deformation (SPD) telah berkembang pesat sebagai pengolahan logam dan paduan. Menggunakan tekanan tinggi dan lebih dari satu jenis gaya yang bekerja, maka akan menghasilkan butiran halus pada strukturmikro ultrafine grained (UFG). ECAP merupakan bagian dari meotde SPD sebagai proses manufaktur pengolahan logam yang memiliki kemampuan untuk memperkenalkan penyempurnaan butiran halus yang signifikan untuk mencapai ukuran butir ke tingkat sub-mikrometer. Dalam aplikasi untuk pembuatan komponen maka diperlukan proses perlakuan panas pada material yang bertujuan untuk mengubah sifat material. Penelitian ini menerapkan perlakuan panas jenis anil dan T.6 (artificial aging) pada paduan logam aluminium dengan proses ECAP untuk aplikasi berbagai komponen engineering. Beberapa aluminium yang digunakan adalah; aluminium murni, aluminium seri 5 (Al5Mg), seri 6: AA6061 dan seri 7: AA7075.
