STUDI KORELASI EMPIRIS ANTARA NILAI TAHANAN STANDARD PENETRATION TEST (N SPT) DENGAN KEKUATAN GESER UNDRAINED (Su) TANAH KOHESIF KOTA CILEGON
Abstract
Pengujian tanah di lapangan dengan menggunakan Standard Penetration Test (SPT) umum digunakan untuk mengetahui kekuatan tanah. Beberapan korelasi antara nilai N SPT dengan parameter kekuatan tanah telah banyak dikembangkan di beberapa negara berbeda. Perbedaan karakteristik tanah dapat menimbulkan prediksi kekuatan tanah berdasarkan korelasi dari para peneliti terdahulu tidak mewakili kondisi sebenarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan korelasi secara empiris antara nilai N SPT dengan parameter kekuatan tanah kohesif yaitu kekuatan geser undrained (Su) untuk tanah di wilayah kota Cilegon. Analisis data dilakukan melalui program analisis statistik software ORIGIN untuk menghasilkan persamaan korelasi. Korelasi dikembangkan melalui metode regresi linier bivariat dan multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persamaan korelasi yang dihasilkan memiliki prediksi yang cukup baik dalam memperkirakan nilai Su berdasarkan nilai N SPT. Hasil yang cukup baik juga ditunjukkan dengan hasil persamaan korelasi Su- N SPT yang mempertimbangkan pengaruh indeks plastisitas, kadar air normal dan batas cair.
