Abstract
Data journalism has become an increasingly important requirement in the newsroom in today's digital era. To meet these needs, we held a series of training on data-driven journalism for journalism students and members of the campus press community in Banten Province. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the data journalism community of Journocoders Indonesia with the aim of equipping the younger generation who are interested in data journalism ideas about the latest understanding, skills, and trends related to this genre. Using the qualitative survey method, we compared the knowledge and abilities of the participants before and after participating in this series of activities. As a result, in general there is an increase in both knowledge and skills in the use of some of the tools learned. The output obtained is that the participants are able to manage the data, from finding the data, cleaning the data to visualizing the data. The hope is that this activity can encourage the younger generation to be more prepared for the trend of data-driven journalism in Indonesia, especially in Banten.
