Journal History

History of Nurani Hukum Jurnal Ilmu Hukum (NhK)

The Nurani Hukum Jurnal Ilmu Hukum (NhK) made its inaugural appearance in December 2018, coinciding with Untirta's 37th Dies Natalies. NhK is a platform that publishes a combination of research and review articles, with a primary focus on legal matters, specifically those related to legal studies. Each issue typically comprises around 5-6 research articles and 1-2 review articles.

NhK is dedicated to establishing itself as a Internationally recognized journal, a commitment substantiated by its inclusion in several international indexing and abstracting like DOAJ, EBSCO, HeinOnline, and national institutions like ARJUNA as of 2021. Additionally, by 2021, all NhK metadata and articles was fully presented in English. Since its inception, NhK has been utilizing the Open Journal System (OJS), with each article subjected to a rigorous review process overseen by experienced legal experts. Every article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) by CrossRef.

During the period between September 27 and October 7, 2023, NhK encountered a server malfunction that necessitated maintenance. This issue resulted in temporary inaccessibility to all articles, mandating a re-upload.

Furthermore, by October 2023, the NhK Stat Counter encountered data errors and was unable to provide visitor data. Consequently, NhK transitioned to using Flag Counter instead. Making the counter restarted and begin from zero on October 16, 2023.

On Vol 5 No 2 December isues NhK marked a significant milestone for NhK as it welcomed its first International Author from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain. Starting with Volume 6, Issue 1 June issues 2023, NhK deversified its Editorial Board and welcoming the editor from China, Malaysia, Australia, Netherlands, Russia, United States, Hungary and Indonesia (8 Country Representatives) with Afandi Sitamala appointed as Editor in Chief.

At the same time, NhK introduced a new template to enhance on-screen readability, departing from the previous two-column article format.

Presently, NhK is in the process of preparing for national re-accreditation through ARJUNA under the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education.

Furthermore, NhK is actively pursuing recognition in international indexing and abstracting services, such as World of Science and Scopus Title Suggestion.
