STIGMATISASI PADA MANTAN NARAPIDANA PENYALAHGUNAAN GANJA DI LINGKUNGAN SERANG

Abstract

The life of ex-cannabis users after being released from prison often gets a bad stigma from the community, which makes it difficult to be accepted back into the social environment. This study uses the theory of stigma and dramaturgy from Erving Goffman. This research is descriptive in nature using qualitative data. Data mining is done by observation, interviews and some secondary data that supports this research, such as books, internet browsing, and previous research. with qualitative methods and social fact paradigms. The results of the study show that former prisoners and families get unfavorable treatment from the community who have the stigma that they are a social handicap because of the criminal behavior they have committed. classification of media in learning By analyzing the media through its presentation forms and presentation methods, we get a formal classification which includes seven media presenters, 1) graphic media 2) media materials 3) picture media 4) projection media 5) audio media media 6) audio visual media media 7) film media. Former inmates as a medium for updating the community's mindset about a former prisoner.  Keywords: stigma, discrimination, ex-convicts, the media
