Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Articles / manuscripts cover themes related to victims and criminal law. These include victims and crime, victims in the criminal justice system, victim protection in law enforcement, criminal conflict resolution and other themes related to victims. This journal only accepts articles that meet the following requirements:
  1. Articles submitted are original and have never been published anywhere.
  2. Articles that have been accepted and have gone through the review process will be published gradually through the Open Journal System (OJS).
  3. Manuscripts can be in the form of research results or thoughts (conceptual). Manuscripts are written in English. 
  4. Abstract in two languages (Indonesian and English). 
  5. Manuscripts are written in A4 paper format. 
  6. Footnote writing uses the Chicago Manual of Style Ed. 17th (fullnote).
  7. Use the Reference Manager application (Mendeley or Zotero) and the font used is Arial 9, left-right aligned (justify), 1 space. The writing format uses a one-column format with Arial 11 font, 1.5 spaces, Justify, A4 paper (210 x 297 mm), left, top, right, and bottom margins of 2.5 cm each.
  8. Manuscripts should be between 8-15 pages for conceptual articles and 15-20 pages for research articles.
  9. Only cited literature is referenced in the bibliography.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
