EduChemia: Jurnal Kimia dan Pendidikan publishes articles on research in chemistry and chemistry education.
EduChemia has been published since 2016 with p-ISSN: 2502-4779 and e-ISSN: 2502-4787, published twice yearly every January and July in print and online versions.
Since the beginning of its publication, EduChemia has used the Online Journal System (OJS). The process at the beginning of its publication still uses quicksubmit. At the start of the publication, the number of articles was 8, which increased with each publication until the publication of Vol. 2 No. 2 July 2017 with 10 articles. Educhemia will consistently publish 8-10 articles in each issue.
In Volume 1, there was no Genesia Manuscript writing; only in Volume 2 was Genesia Manuscript listed, and there was a DOI for each article.
The publishing process of EduChemia, since the publication of Vol. 2 No. 2 July 2017, has been fully online.
The citation system and bibliography compilation since Vol.4 No.1 have used Mendeley.
EduChemia is currently indexed by DOAJ as one of the international indexing institutions, and other indexing institutions such as Google Scholar, Moraref, BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), Scholarsteer, PKP Index (Public Knowledge Project Index), CiteFactor, EBSCO, IPI Portal Garuda (Indonesia Publication Index).
EduChemia's Statcounter from May 2019 to March 2020 had problems, and visitors were not recorded during that period. Statcounter has been active again since April 2020
In 2023, there was an obstacle where the journal website could not be accessed due to server problems at the institution, so the publication process of Vol. 8 was hampered until the end of the year.
There are changes in the writing of citations and references, which previously used the Harvard Style to the Harvard-APA Style.
EduChemia has translated the language into full English since the publication of Vol. 9 no. 1 in 2024. We also collaborate with the Grammarcheck English Language Service regarding Translating and Proofreading articles to be published in Educhemia. The goal is to make EduChemia articles of higher quality with good and correct language.
In 2024, EduChemia added Editors and Reviewers from within and outside the country. Our Editorial Team comes from Indonesia, China, and Germany. Our reviewers come from Japan, Germany, China, and Indonesia.
